Tell IA the job (type it or press START). Review the draft. Approve and send. Same three steps for an estimate or an invoice. Nothing goes to your books until you approve it — unless you turn on auto-send in Settings.

Estimate = quote before the work. Invoice = bill for completed work. Same review step either way.

After you send an invoice, IA tracks what’s still unpaid and emails a polite follow-up to the customer. Default timing is about 7 days, then 14 days — two emails, not collections language. The shop owner can turn follow-up off.

Book the job on your calendar from IA. You can connect Google Calendar and iOS Calendar so the work lands where you already look.

The owner connects books and runs billing settings. Technicians can draft estimates and invoices. Sending to the customer stays with the owner unless you allow technicians to send in Settings.

1. Sign in as the shop owner.
2. Open Settings, then Bookkeeping software.
3. Tap Connect next to Wave, QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks.
4. Sign in to that provider in the browser and authorize your company.
5. Come back to IA. Pull down to refresh if the status still says not connected.

Each shop connects its own account. Pick one books app at a time. IA is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wave, Intuit, Xero, or FreshBooks.

Same Connect flow. Settings → Bookkeeping software → Connect next to FreshBooks. Sign in to your FreshBooks account in the browser and authorize it. You connect your account — not a shared file, and not someone else’s books.

No. You can still draft estimates and invoices in IA. Connect is how those approved documents land in Wave, QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks.

Owner: Settings → Bookkeeping software → Disconnect. IA stops creating new documents in that account. Invoices and estimates already in your books stay there — we don’t delete your Wave, QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks records.
